When you take on a rebuild in a location you’re not entirely familiar with, it’s daunting. However, we were introduced to Nick Spencer and his family run business, Causeway Construction, and never looked back.  Professional, efficient, honest and hardworking. Every one of Nick’s team were a pleasure to work with and their workmanship was first class. Any problems we had were overcome quickly and we are delighted with the end result. We’d have no hesitation in recommending Causeway Construction.

We did a full scale remodel with Causeway Construction and couldn't recommend them more highly. The site was always immaculate, trade partners were professional and a pleasure to work with, and Causeway was always readily available to chat and would respond to queries quickly. As an interior designer I'm very in the detail, and they did a great job in responding to requests and changes as the project progressed. I really hope I get to work with them again, it was an absolute pleasure.

Nick at Causeway Construction was our lead contractor/master builder for an 18-month complete rebuild of a large detached Edwardian house in Southbourne. This was a project where we only knew two things; firstly, there would be many “unknown unknowns” with what we would find and need to deal with and secondly, things would take longer, and cost more than we could reasonably know.
 
Nick was just brilliant across the whole project on all the values or skills you would look for in someone delivering a service for £’000’s of your savings. I enjoyed all the build.
 
Communication. Nick always answers the phone and is extremely open and clear on costs – offering options when areas of work were going to come in more than the budget. Even the tricky and technically difficult things were explained well with patience.
Expertise. We took the house down to 4 walls; no roof, no floor,  then rebuilt with new rooms, new roof, large 3m high sliding doors in an 8m x 8m extension. There were loads of technical building challenges which Nick managed expertly, keeping our architect, and building control on side and happy.
Professionalism. Despite creating huge clouds of dust and noise, umpteen skips and several days of huge cranes blocking the road neighbours both sides were very happy with work and Nick was brilliant at managing understandable concerns. We elected for polished concrete downstairs, something new to all of us, and Nick drove up to north of Birmingham with myself and the architect to understand what was involved so he could get this right for the house.
Quality. Nick’s team were great and clearly like working for him, all of them have price in their work and in the project and Nick managed the sub-contractors as if it was his own house they were working on, no half measure or “that’ll do” was allowed. Every thing that was installed was checked by Nick and his team for blemishes and every care taken on installing white goods, showers, baths etc.
 
Nick, Karen, and their family who work in the business, are just the nicest people and their professionalism is amazing. We have a fabulous house which is down to Nick, Karen and their company and we are always delighted when Nick asks to show someone round for ideas.

We have just finished renovating our bungalow in Christchurch which was almost a complete rebuild. Nick and his team at Causeway construction have done the most fantastic job and we are thrilled with the results. They were supportive, attentive, very highly skilled and knowledgable. They always had a good solution for any problems that arose, delivered a quality finish with great efficiency. We have absolute trust in the Causeway construction's abilities and would not hesitate to use them again. It's such a breath of fresh air to work with such professionals.
